030: LOVER TO LOVER, ZINE No.1

So this year I decided to be kind to myself and refuse the whole New Year's resolutions idea. Quite freeing, I must say. But just for about 4 days, because of course, not having a resolution to worry about gave me some extra time to think about new ideas, which inevitably led to: yes, a 2015 resolution. Bummer.

So here it is: I've set myself to create a zine for each month of the year. Random themes, random formats, just as a fun exercise and an excuse to motivate myself to keep illustrating.

Anyway, here's the first one for the month January and dedicated to the month of February. It's called "Lover to Lover" and it's about the different stages of love. It is mildly inspired by Florence + The Machine and The Valley Below.

And just because this week is Saint Valentine's and to celebrate that with this one zine I probably have gotten the farthest ever with a New Year's resolution, you can download it here for free.

Download it, print it, fold it and

give it to your Lover this Saturday (or any other day!)

1. Print it on a A3 paper, both sides on the same one! While you are at it, cut the white frame that the machine will leave.

2. Fold it. First in half (yellow image inside), then in quarters (the quarter with the title goes towards the inside, the other side outwards).

3. Now cut along the horizontal middle, but only in between the two centre panels! Fold now the whole page horizontally following the cut that you just made.

4. Now fold it like a pro! The folds that you have already made will tell you the direction you need to follow. You will get an A6 booklet that when opened has a poster on the back. Good job! And if you didn't quite get the directions, here's a much better step by step.
